Jennifer Atkinson, Events Manager for Big Brothers of Greater Vancouver Foundation, handles the enormous task of leading the planning for The Bowl for Big Brothers Classic and the Whistler Golf Classic. Having joined the team in September 2007, she finds her job challenging, rewarding and fun.
With a past work history in non-profit, Jennifer is no stranger to a workplace with a positive cause. Still, the mentoring cause is one very dear to her heart. She recalls her own family dynamic and is positive her own brother wouldn't realize the successful outcomes he has today without the important support of their father. She now expects the same success from the program's Little Brothers who learn from the example of their Big Brother mentors.
"It's a privilege and an honour to work at Big Brothers," she explains. "I see the value of our work in the community every day."
