CTV Produces PSA for Bowling Campaign

As Television Media Sponsor for The 2010 Scotiabank Bowl for Big Brothers Classic the sixth year running, CTV annually produces a public service announcement (PSA) to help recruit companies to bowl and raise funds for Big Brothers.

Shooting for the 2010 PSA took place at REVS Bowling and Entertainment Centre on Wednesday, January 27th.

Keeping in tune with the Canada, eh themed bowling campaign, sportscasters Perry Solkowski and Jason Pires were featured in the PSA, Perry in red and white winter attire and Jason in hockey gear (complete with blacked out teeth). A number of generous volunteers also donated their time as extras, appearing as lumberjacks, mounties and more.

Testament to the bowling campaign itself, the spirit of fun and teamwork was infectious at the shoot. Both Big Brothers and CTV are excited to see the completed PSA which will air on CTV from March 14 - April 4.

Ming Chang, the Producer of the PSA, had a great time at the shoot and will even appear in the spot chugging maple syrup. “It was one of the most fun shoots I’ve ever had the pleasure of working on and that is in large part due to the fine and talented folks of Big Brothers of Greater Vancouver," Chang explains. "On behalf of CTV BC, I’d like to thank them and the volunteers for their efforts and their overwhelming generosity!”

Big Brothers is pleased to enjoy such a wonderful partnership with CTV BC and thanks them for their incredible support.
