MEMORIAL GOLF TOURNAMENT RAISES $10,000 FOR BIG BROTHERS
On Sunday July 24, 2011, some 70 golfers and guests gathered at Golden Eagle Golf Club in Pitt Meadows to celebrate the life of Adam Durakovic at the 5th Annual Adam Durakovic Best Ball for Big Brothers Golf Tournament.
This year, the tournament featured a full day of golf, a silent auction, 50/50, raffle, dinner and raised an incredible $10,000 to support Big Brothers mentoring programs for kids.
Five years ago, father Joe Durakovic and best friend Jason Smith started the memorial tournament, benefiting the organization, where Adam volunteered as a Big Brother. Funds raised through this third party fundraiser will help realize Adam’s desire to help children.
Big Brothers extends a warm thank you to Joe Durakovic and those who have taken part in the tournament over the years for their continued support of Big Brothers of Greater Vancouver.
