The CW Bank Greater Interest GIC Fundraising Campaign

Throughout September and October, for every dollar customers invest in The Greater Interest GIC®, Canadian Western Bank will make a donation of 1/8% to the Big Brothers/Big Sisters agencies in the community in which the deposits were made. There are seven Canadian Western Bank branches in the Lower Mainland that will be raising money. In fact, CW Bank has raised over $44,000 for mentoring programs locally with this campaign in past years and expects this number to grow substantially with the 2011 campaign. +more

Thank You Invesco Trimark!

Invesco Trimark, a friend of Big Brothers Big Sisters and a proud sponsor of the Odlum Brown VanOpen donated ten tickets to Big and Little Brothers to attend this exciting annual event. In addition, on Wednesday, August 3rd, every time a player aced a serve during any game, $5 was donated to Big Brothers of Greater Vancouver.  The day’s games ended with a cheque presentation for $500 to Big Brothers.  Thank you, Invesco Trimark!  +photo

On July 15th, Teligence held its annual Summer Social event at Stanley Park.  Despite the unusually cool summer weather, Teligence employees and their families still came out to enjoy a fun filled afternoon and raised just over $900 for Big Brothers of Greater Vancouver.

Thanks to partner agency Kids Up Front, Big and Little Brothers are able to experience concerts, sports games and local events that they would not normally have the opportunity to enjoy. Kids Up Front does this by redistributing unused event tickets to Big Brothers.

Big Brothers presents ‘Be The Next Mixologist’ with Take 5 Café

Big Brothers partnered with Take 5 Café to feature a new summer drink and asked Big and Little Brothers to come up with their own drink recipes. We’ve narrowed it down to the top five drinks. The drink with the most “Likes” on Facebook will be on Take 5’s summer menu. The winning Little Brother will win an iPod and the matches’ story will be featured on the Big Brothers website, E-Newsletter and at all Take 5 Café locations in the Lower Mainland. Emily-Claire McLaughlin Makes PSA's

When Vancouver Film School Student, Emily-Claire McLaughlin, contacted Big Brothers about creating PSA's for her final project in Entertainment Business Management, we had no idea just how motivated she would be or what an incredible product she would deliver. Burnaby RCMP Officers Are Giving Back To The Community
March 14 -On behalf of The RCMP Foudation, Chief Supt. Rick Taylor of the Burnaby RCMP presented Program Director Joanne Kautz-Allard and Executive Director Valerie Lambert with a $3,000 grant cheque from the RCMP Foundation. The money will be used to help support an In-School mentoring program partnership with RCMP detachments in Burnaby, Surrey, UBC and Coquitlam.
